Shoreline Amphitheatre was a stop on the very first Lollapalooza tour in 1991 and hosted the famous festival for a handful of years. The lineups boasted names like Nine Inch Nails, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, RHCP, The Smashing Pumpkins, and A Tribe Called Quest.

Shoreline Amphitheatre made its debut in the summer of 1986, originally scheduled to open with a concert by The Grateful Dead. The show was canceled due to Jerry Garcia's health issues. They returned in 1987 to play our stage, and have returned to Shoreline Amphitheatre 39 times since then.

Established by Neil Young and Pegi Young, the Bridge School Benefit Concert is a yearly charitable event that featured all-acoustic performances. Held every October at Shoreline Amphitheatre, this non-profit concert brought together musical legends like Elton John, Willie Nelson, Bruce Springsteen, Jack White, and Tony Bennett, all united in their efforts to raise funds for The Bridge School.
